Darkness Suspends Second Round at Western Intercollegiate

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. --- Saturday's second round was suspended due to darkness in the 71st annual Western Intercollegiate at Pasatiempo Golf Club in Santa Cruz.
Each team has about four to seven holes to complete in the second round Sunday morning with the final round to immediately follow.
UC Irvine shot a 376 in Saturday morning's first round in the 6-count-5 scoring format and sat in 14th place as USC was in first at 347. Stanford was in second place at 351 and Oregon third at 353.
Juniors David Kim and Ryan O'Connor led UCI with opening rounds of 74 and were in 49th place.
Junior Jonathan Young and senior Bryan Shin each shot 75 and were 58th, freshman Jonathan Kang carded a 78 for 84th place and junior Johnny Hyun shot 81 for 94th place.
USC's Cheng Jin and Oregon's Edwin Yi shared the first-round individual lead after each shot 3-under 67.
