Anteaters Fall to Youngstown State

IRVINE, Calif. - The UC Irvine women's tennis team fell to Youngstown State, 7-0, Thursday at Anteater Tennis Stadium.
The Penguins (6-6) took the early lead as they won all three doubles matches. They then carried the momentum into singles play with straight-set victories at Nos. 2-5.
UCI (1-10) would force a third set in the final two matches but came up short, 5-7, 7-6, 10-4 at the top spot, and 1-6, 6-3, 10-6 at No. 6.
UC Irvine returns to action on Friday, March 10, when it entertains Hope International at 9 a.m. The 'Eaters will also host Sacramento State at Palisades Tennis Club (Newport Beach) on Saturday, March 11.
