'Eaters Tied for Fifth at Sacramento State Invitational

ELK GROVE, Calif. --- UC Irvine is tied for fifth place after Monday's two rounds of the Sacramento State Invitational at Valley Hi Country Club in Elk Grove.
UCI, UC Riverside and British Columbia have 36-hole scores of 611. Grand Canyon is in first at 574, UC Santa Barbara is second at 584 and Cal State Fullerton third at 588.
Junior David Kim led the Anteaters Monday with rounds of 77-74 for 151 and 18th place. Ryan O'Connor is 20th at 152 (79-73), Jonathan Young is 30th at 154 (76-78), Johnny Hyun is 40th at 157 (81-76) and Chris Parkinson is in 47th place at 159 (84-75).
Brandon Bauman of UC Santa Barbara is the individual leader at 140 (73-67).
The final round is scheduled to begin at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday.
