NORTHRIDGE, Calif. – The UC Irvine women's tennis team concluded its fall season with the final day of the CSUN Invitational Sunday at Matador Tennis Complex.

The 'Eaters totaled 16 singles victories over the three-day tournament.
 
On Sunday, two Anteaters were in position to win their respective back draws but came up just short. Junior Danielle Garrido dropped a 6-3, 6-0 decision to Cal State Fullerton's Jadie Acidera in the Silver Bracket consolation final, while senior Ashlynn Hall fell to Luciana Di Laura of Cal State Los Angeles, 6-4, 6-4, in the Silver Bracket.
 
UCI was victorious in four extra matches. Freshman Flora Amiri dispatched Oral Roberts' Jovana Antonijevic, 6-1, 6-0. Sophomore Gillian Parker also took down Isabella Lopez (CSLA), 6-2, 6-2, and classmate Jacqueline Tsodikova topped Westmont's Isabel Lee, 6-0, 6-4.
 
Sophomore Arianna Tilbury battled to a 6-3, 6-7, 7-5 win over Brenda Mercado (ORU).
 
In doubles, Garrido and Tilbury prevailed, 6-4, against Youngstown State's Moraleja/Zagar.
 
UC Irvine will open the 2018 dual-match campaign at home on Saturday, Jan. 27, when it welcomes Grand Canyon to Anteater Tennis Stadium.
