This week, UCI will travel to cross-county rival Cal State Fullerton on Friday (Oct. 13) at Titan Gym then returns home to host UC Riverside Saturday (Oct. 14) at the Bren Events Center. Both matches begin at 7:00 p.m.
Saturday's match against the Highlanders is a Think Pink night. UCI will sport special pink uniforms in support of breast cancer awareness.
Think Pink Adidas Climalite wristbands will be available at the game for a minimum $2 donation. A signed pink jersey will also be auctioned off. All proceeds collected during the event will be donated to the UC Irvine Breast Health Center.
VERSUS THE OPPONENTS
Cal State Fullerton is looking for its first Big West win (0-6) and is 4-14 overall. The Titans are riding an eight-match losing streak with their last win coming on Sept. 9 versus Quinnipiac.
UCI owns 49-28 series lead over Fullerton, winning the eight meetings.
UCI has won the last eight against the Highlanders as well, holding a 34-12 series record all-time.
UC Riverside is 9-8 overall and 1-4 in the Big West. The Highlanders are coming off a 3-1 victory over Cal State Fullerton last Saturday.

On Monday, Harlee Kekauoha was named Big West Player of the Week for the second time this season. She hit .420 with two double-doubles, including a career-high tying 22 kills versus CSUN.
Over the last four matches, Idara Akpakpa has averaged 2.49 kills while hitting .421. The middle blocker is averaging 2.44 kills and 0.61 blocks overall. The junior ranks third in the Big West in hitting percentage at .383.
UCI has out-dug opponents 14 times this season, including a 247-230 advantage in conference play. Libero Luna Tsujimoto has reached double-digit digs 16 times this season and has two 20-dig performances. The senior is averaging 4.21 digs per set, which is third in the conference.
The Anteaters are ranked second in the Big West in kills (13.52) and third in assists (12.59), hitting percentage (0.248) and opponents hitting percentage (0.191).

Setter Ali Koumelis is averaging 10.15 set assists which is fifth in the Big West overall.
The match with UC Riverside is the start of a three-match homestand. UCI welcomes UC Davis on Oct. 21 and Big West leader Cal Poly on Oct. 24.
