UC Irvine Begins Season at Pepperdine Invitational

 

IRVINE, Calif. --- The 2016 season gets underway Thursday (Sept. 1) as UC Irvine travels to Malibu for the Pepperdine Invitational.

The women's 4,000-meter race is set to begin at 4:00 p.m. in Alumni Park.  UCI is scheduled to compete against the host Waves, Long Beach State, USC and CSU Bakersfield.

A veteran lineup returns for the Anteaters, led by senior Pearl Law, who was UCI's top runner at the 2015 Big West Conference Championships with a 42nd-place finish.  Lisa Vasquez was 45th and Aliya Shah 48th.
