Big West Conference Honors UC Irvine Student-Athletes For Academics

2015-16 Big West Winter All-Academic Team    2016 Big West Spring All-Academic Team

IRVINE, Calif. – A total of 53 UC Irvine student-athletes earned Academic All-Big West Conference honors for winter and spring sports.

The Anteaters were among 441 student-athletes who earned the honor for the winter sports of men's and women's basketball, and the spring sports of baseball, softball, beach volleyball, men's and women's tennis, men's and women's golf, men's and women's track and field, and women's water polo. 

To be eligible for the All-Academic team, student-athletes are required to maintain a 3.0 cumulative grade point average, complete one full year at the member institution prior to the season for which the award is being received (at least a sophomore academically), and competed in at least 50 percent of their team's contests.
