Inclement Weather Halts Action at NCAA West Preliminary Round

 

Revised Schedule

 

LAWRENCE, Kan. --- All events were suspended or postponed Thursday due to inclement weather at the NCAA West Preliminary Round in Lawrence, Kan.

Several field events were in progress prior to the suspension and the running events never started.|

In the updated schedule, all running events will be ran as a quarterfinal.  Advancement in each event will be:   The 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, plus hurdles, the heat winner and the next 6 fastest times advance.

On Friday, Anteater sophomore Persis William-Mensah competes in the 100 meters at 7:20 a.m. (PT), Kaulyn Lee-McNeill in the 400-meter hurdles at 9:50 a.m. and Barbara Coward in the discus at 12:30 p.m.

Saturday, the 4x100 relay of Megan George, Taisyn Crutchfield, Michelle Norman and William-Mensah runs at 8:00 a.m. and George competes in the 100-meter hurdles at 9:30 a.m.
