Anteaters Compete At Big West Championships

UCI will compete in the Big West Championships Sunday-Tuesday (Apr. 17-19) at the Kapalua Golf Course in Lahaina, Maui.
The conference championship is a three-day, 54-hole tournament with 18 holes played each day.
The Anteaters begin their quest at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday.
Kapalua is a par-72 course, playing at 6,012 yards.
Samantha Chan, Camille Wagg, Breanne Jones, Kristin Henno and Kelsey Kawaguchi will compete for the Anteaters.
UC Irvine joins Cal Poly, Cal State Fullerton, Cal State Northridge, Hawaii, Long Beach State, UC Davis, UC Riverside in the race for the Big West title.
UCI has won five Big West Championships (2008, 2007, 2006, 2005, 2002).
Three Anteaters (Stella Lee '02, Selanee' Henderson '06, Kim Lorenzana '08) have captured the individual crown at the Championships.

Last year, Camille Wagg posted a career-best 10th place finish (224) to lead UC Irvine to seventh place at championships at the El Macero Country Club.
IN THE CLUBHOUSE
Samantha Chan has led UCI in three tournaments this year and tops the team with a 77.33 scoring average.
Camille Wagg is second on the team with a 77.64 scoring average
Breanne Jones, who has a 77.83 scoring average, has UCI's best finish of the year, placing 19th at the New Mexico State Aggie Invitational.
