OFF THE TEE
UCI returns to action at the Gold Rush Monday-Tuesday (Feb. 22- Feb. 23) at Old Ranch Country Club in Seal Beach, Calif.
First and second round action will take place on Monday followed by final round play concluding on Tuesday. Both days will begin with an 8 a.m. (PST) shotgun start.
The 15-team field features Boise State, Boston College, BYU, Cal Poly, Cal State Fullerton, Colorado State, Fresno State, Gonzaga, Idaho, Nevada, Ole Miss, Sacramento State, USC and host Long Beach State.
Samantha Chan, Camille Wagg, Breanne Jones, Kristin Henno and Kelsey Kawaguchi will compete for the Anteaters.
Live play of all three rounds will be provided on Golfstat.com.
This is the second consecutive year the Gold Rush will be taking place Old Ranch Country Club where the Anteaters finished in ninth place last year 931 (321-303-307).
IN THE CLUBHOUSE
Sophomore Breanne Jones led the Anteaters after the fall schedule with a 76.00 scoring average over 12 rounds. Sophomore Camille Wagg followed with a 76.90 average followed by junior Samantha Chan at 76.91.
Jones had UCI best finish of the season at the New Mexico State Aggie Invitational where she placed 19th, her first top 20 performance.
