SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The UC Irvine women's tennis team wrapped up the second day of action at the SDSU Fall Classic II Saturday at Aztec Tennis Center.

In the singles red draw, freshman Constance Branstine earned a 6-4, 6-3 consolation win over Alexis Thomas of North Texas. Freshman Arianna Tilbury dropped a 6-3, 6-1 decision to Kansas State's Carolina Costamangna in the same bracket. Branstine will now face Costamangna in the consolation final tomorrow.

In the white draw, both junior Ashlynn Hall and senior Cassidy Branstine fell in the semifinals. Branstine lost to Kennedy Davis of host San Diego State, 6-2, 6-3, while Hall came up short against Ana Garcia Navas of Kansas State (6-4, 6-1).

In the gold draw semifinals, Jacqueline Tsodikova was on the wrong end of a 6-1, 6-1 score against Laura Arciniegas (North Texas). Junior Hali Dickson also fell to SDSU's Berta Acero in the silver consolation bracket.

Hall and Tilbury teamed up in doubles play to top Olivia Larsson/Berta Acero (SDSU), 6-4, in a consolation match, while Cassidy Branstine and Tsodikova suffered a 6-1 defeat to Ana Garcia Navas/Maria Panaite (KSU).

The Anteaters conclude the SDSU Fall Classic II, which is their final tournament of the fall season, on Sunday, Nov. 13. Action is slated to get underway at 9 a.m.
