
UC Irvine Finishes Fall Season at Makai Invitational

PRINCEVILLE, Kaua'i, Hawai'i --- UC Irvine finished the fall portion of its schedule Tuesday at the Warrior Princeville Makai Invitational in Princeville, Kaua'i, Hawai'i.
The Anteaters placed 19th with a 54-hole score of 913. Mississippi was the tournament champion at 831, Sam Houston State was second at 853 and Missouri third at 860.
Junior David Kim was UCI's top finisher, placing 63rd at 224 after shooting 1-over 73 in the final round at the Makai Golf Club at Princeville.
Junior Jonathan Young (81) was 75th at 229, sophomore Ramiz Jamal 78th at 230 after shooting 77 Tuesday, and freshman Jonathan Kang (79) and junior Ryan O'Connor (82) tied for 87th place at 233.
Braden Thornberry from Mississippi was medalist at 13-under 203.
The 'Eaters resume their 2016-17 schedule Jan. 30-31 in the Folino Invitational at Industry Hills Golf Club.
