● UC Irvine hosts fifth-ranked UC Santa Barbara Friday night at 7:00 in a Golden Coast Conference game at the Anteater Aquatics Complex in the Anteaters' only contest of the week.

● The 'Eaters went 2-1 last week, defeating Chapman, 14-4, before earning the program's initial GCC victory in a 10-9 win at San Jose State last Friday night.  UCI was edged 7-6 in a non-conference game at UC San Diego Sunday.

● Sophomore Jack Trush, who scored seven goals last week, leads the 'Eaters in scoring with 34 goals, followed by junior Ryan Warde with 28.  Warde scored nine goals in the three games last week.  Freshman Bryant Joudrie has scored 23 goals, including a career-high five in last Tuesday's victory over Chapman.  Freshman Ian Fleenor has 20 goals, freshman Jon Polos 12, freshman Foster Hoose six and junior Christian Macias five.

● Junior goalie Matej Matijevic, who had 37 saves last week, has 237 stops in 18 starts this season.

● Following this week's game, UCI will travel to Pepperdine Nov. 4 for a GCC game at 5:00 p.m. before hosting California in a non-conference contest Nov. 5 at 1:00 p.m. in the season's home finale.
