UC Irvine Heads To Final Fall Tournament

OFF THE TEE
UCI will participate in the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown, the final tournament of the fall schedule Sunday-Tuesday (Oct. 23-25) at the Boulder Creek Golf Club.
Teams will play on both the Desert Hawk and Coyote Run courses. The Desert Hawk will play as the front nine and the Coyote Run will play as the back nine.
The course plays at Par 72 and 6,301 yards.
A shotgun start on Sunday starts at 12 p.m. followed by 8:00 a.m. starts on Monday and Tuesday.

The 19 team field includes Colorado State, Baylor, Gonzaga, Fresno State, Idaho, Indiana, Long Beach State, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, New Mexico State, San Diego State, San Jose State, Texas, UC Riverside, Vanderbilt and host UNLV.
UCI finished 19th at this event last year (893). Samantha Chan led the team with a score of 215 (72-70-73).
IN THE CLUBHOUSE
UCI placed fifth at the NMSU Aggie Invitational, its third consecutive top 5 finish of the year.
Camille Wagg led UCI from start to finish and ended in a tie for fifth, her best finish as an Anteater with a career-low 223 (70-77-76). The junior, who started the tournament with a career-best round of 70, led the field on Par 5s with a 4.67 average (-4) and was tied for second in birdies with eight.
Junior Kaley In had her third consecutive top 15 finish, coming in at 13th with a score of 229 (71-78-80).
In leads the team in scoring average at 74.44 over nine rounds.
