UC Irvine in Second Place at Cullum Invitational

SIMI VALLEY, Calif. --- UC Irvine made a huge move up the leaderboard in the second round and is in second place after 36 holes in the Cullum Invitational at Wood Ranch Golf Club in Simi Valley.
The Anteaters shot 12-under 276 in the second round to climb nine places on the leaderboard. UCI has a 36-hole total of 8-under 568 to trail only UC Santa Barbara (554). Utah State is in third place at 569 in the 15-team tournament.
UCI junior David Kim shot a 6-under 66 in the second round and is in seventh place with a 5-under total of 139 (73-66) after 36 holes.
Freshman Jonathan Kang is eighth at 140 (71-69), sophomore Ramiz Jamal is 33rd at 145 (74-71), junior Jonathan Young is in 39th place at 146 (76-70) and junior Ryan O'Connor is 54th at 148 (74-74).
Sophomore Chris Parkinson, competing as an individual, shot 76-78 and is in 83rd place at 154.
Jonah Texeira of USC, also competing individually, leads at 10-under 134 (66-68).
The final 18 holes are scheduled for Tuesday.
