IRVINE, Calif. --- UC Irvine returns to action Monday and Tuesday (Oct. 17-18) in the 21st annual Cullum Invitational at Wood Ranch Golf Club in Simi Valley.
Thirty-six holes are scheduled for Monday with a shotgun start at 7:45 a.m. The final 18 holes are set to begin at 8:00 a.m. Tuesday, also with a shotgun start on the par-72 course that measures 6,849 yards.
Joining the 'Eaters and host CSUN in the field are Cal Poly, Cal State Fullerton, CSU Bakersfield, Long Beach State, Loyola Marymount, Pacific, Seattle, Southern Utah, UC Riverside, UC Santa Barbara, Utah, Utah State and Weber State.
UCI head coach Paul Smolinski's lineup features juniors David Kim and Jonathan Young, sophomore Ramiz Jamal, junior Ryan O'Connor and freshman Jonathan Kang. Sophomore Chris Parkinson will compete as an individual.
The 'Eaters opened the season with a fifth-place finish at the Nick Watney Invitational in Fresno earlier this month. Kim placed third and Young 10th to lead UCI.
Following action next week, UCI will compete in the Princeville Makai Invitational at Princeville Makai Golf Course in Kauai, Hawai'i, Oct. 30-Nov. 1.
