UC Irvine Competes at Highlander Invitational Saturday

 

IRVINE, Calif. --- UC Irvine travels to Riverside for the second time this season, competing in the Highlander Invitational Saturday.

The men's 6,000-meter race is scheduled to begin at 8:00 a.m. on the UCR Agricultural Operations Course.  There is no charge for admission at this meet.

UCI has won two meets this season, including the Mustang Challenge at Santa Clarita Oct. 1 in the team's last outing.

Senior Isaiah Thompson was the top collegiate finisher in that race.

  DIRECTIONS/PARKING AT RIVERSIDE:

From the 215/60 freeway, exit Martin Luther King and go West. Pass through the Canyon Crest traffic light and make a right into UCR Lot 30.  Signs will direct you to the designated area of the parking lot.  General parking is not available adjacent to the entrance gate.

Following Saturday's race, the 'Eaters will prepare for the Big West Conference Championships at the Kahuku Golf Course in Kahuku, Hawai'i Oct. 29.
