● Marthie Ponty and her UCI teammates open the season Saturday, hosting the adidas/UCI Invitational at the Anteater Recreation Center Fields.
● Ponty placed 33rd in last season's adidas/UCI Invitational and was 35th at the Vanguard Invitational, 46th at the Highlander Invitational and 62nd at the Big West Conference Championship.
● She is graduate student in the Masters in the Art of Teaching and Single Subject Credential program.
● She is a two-time UCI Scholar-Athlete and Big West Fall All-Academic honoree.
