RIVERSIDE, Calif. --- The Anteaters polished off the regular season with a complete, 7-0, sweep at UC Riverside Wednesday afternoon.
The 'Eaters (14-8, 6-2) lost a total of four games in their sweep of doubles to take the early, 1-0 lead.
Singles had the same tune with six sweeps dropping just 15 of 87 singles games led by senior Kat Facey winning her first-ever match at No. 1 for her 19th dual match win of the year.
UC Irvine now awaits the remaining Big West matches to determine its seeding for the Big West Tournament. The Anteaters cannot be seeded lower than third, and still could emerge as the No. 2 seed with the tournament beginning for UCI on Friday, April 24 at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden.
