Boulder City, Nevada -- UC Irvine is in 19th place after the first day of the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown held at the Boulder Creek Golf Course Sunday.

The Anteaters shot a first round 301 while Michigan leads the field with a 13-under par 275.

Junior Samantha Chan fired an even par 72 and is tied for 50th position. Sophomores Kelsey Kawaguchi and Camille Wagg are tied for 94 with a score of 76. Sophomore Breanne Jones is tied for 99th at 77 and senior Kristin Henno is tied for 103rd with a total of 81.

The teams will play 18 holes tomorrow and Tuesday beginning at 8:30 a.m.
