OFF THE TEE
UCI will close out the fall schedule traveling to the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown Sunday-Tuesday (Oct. 25-27) at the Boulder Creek Golf Course.
Teams tee off at 12:00 p.m. Sunday followed by 18 holes on Monday and Tuesday beginning at 8:00 a.m. Shotgun start each day.
Boulder Creek has three nine-hole courses and the Anteaters will be playing on Desert Hawk and Coyote Run. Yardage is 6,277 playing at a par 72.
The tournament field includes Colorado State, Fresno State, Gonzaga, Idaho, Indiana, Long Beach State, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, San Diego State, San Jose State, Tennessee, Texas, Vanderbilt and host UNLV.
The Anteater team features Breanne Jones, Camille Wagg, Kelsey Kawaguchi, Samantha Chan, and Kristin Henno
IN THE CLUBHOUSE
UCI finished 10th at the Aggie Invitational with a 54-total of 911 (295-308-308) over the three-day event.
Breanne Jones led UCI for the second consecutive tournament, posting her first career top 20 finish. The sophomore placed 19th with a three-day total of 223 (74-74-75). She was tied for the tournament lead in birdies with 10 and Par 5 scoring with a -5 mark.
Jones tops the team in scoring average at 76.11 followed by Kawaguchi with a 77.11 average.
