THIS WEEK
● Seventh-ranked UC Irvine (11-4, 1-0 MPSF) takes a challenging trip north to face fifth-ranked Pacific Saturday and No. 3 California Sunday in Mountain Pacific Sports Federation games at 12 noon.
● UCI fell to Pacific, 14-9, at the Kap7 SoCal Invitational in Malibu last Sunday. This will be the first meeting of the season between the Anteaters and Bears.
LAST WEEK
● The 'Eaters went 2-2 and finished seventh in the SoCal Invitational. UCI opened with a 13-12 win over host Pepperdine, fell to top-ranked UCLA, 13-4, and No. 5 Pacific, 14-9, before topping Long Beach State, 9-8, in overtime for seventh place Sunday.
● Kyle Trush hit a buzzer-beater at the end of overtime for his fourth goal of the game in the victory over Long Beach State.
BY THE NUMBERS
● Juniors Kyle Trush (29 goals) and Lovre Milos (27 goals) rank eighth in the MPSF in scoring average at 1.93 goals per game.
● Senior Jared Osborn has 22 goals on the season, senior Pablo Carballo 18, sophomore Matt Skinner 17, sophomore Ryan Warde 16, junior Antoine Lena 15, freshman Jack Trush 11 and senior Larson Pfeil 10.
● Senior Dylan Peterson, with 177 saves on the season, leads the MPSF with an average of 13.08 stops per game.
ON THE HORIZON
● Following this weekend's trip, UCI hosts the Alumni Game Oct. 24 before taking on No. 1 UCLA Oct. 25 at noon at Anteater Aquatics Complex.
