UC Irvine will start the season at the 5th Annual Rose City Collegiate Women's Golf Tournament Monday and Tuesday (Sept. 29-30) at the Langdon Farms Golf Club in Aurora, Ore.
Langdon Farms will play 6,080 yards and Par 72.
Teams will play 36 holes Monday beginning with an 8:00 a.m. shotgun start. The tournament features continues with 18 holes Tuesday with tee times starting at 8:00 a.m. off holes 1 and 10.
The tournament field is Boise State, Cal State Fullerton, Eastern Washington, Idaho, Idaho State, Montana, Northern Colorado, Oregon State, San Francisco, Seattle, UC Irvine, Louisiana-Monroe, Weber State and host Portland State. Nine individuals will also compete.
The Anteaters tied for second at last year's event with a score of 600 (299-301). The tournament was shortened to 36 holes due to inclement weather.
UCI returns just two letterwinners, sophomores Kaley In and Samantha Chan in 2014-15.
The Anteaters welcome Kristin Henno, a transfer from Portland State as well as freshmen Lindsay Gullikson, Breanne Jones, Kelsey Kawaguchi, Joo Youn Seo and Camille Wagg to the squad this season.
The Anteaters placed fourth at the Big West Championship a year ago.
Last year, In was named to the All-Big West second team after leading the team with a 76.00 scoring average over 22 rounds. In had two top 10 finishes, including leading UCI with a seventh place performance at the Big West Championships. Chan played in 18 rounds as a freshman.
