STOCKTON, Calif. --- Lovre Milos scored five goals and Jacob Mourer added four to lead 10th-ranked UC Irvine over Redlands, 17-5, in the Kap7 NorCal Classic at Stockton Saturday afternoon.
Justin Papa and Jared Osborn added two goals each for the 'Eaters, who improved to 8-2 on the season.
UCI, trailing 3-1 after the first quarter, outscored the Bulldogs, 16-2 over the game's final three periods.
David Sekula's goal with 6:39 left in the second quarter put Redlands up 4-1 before the 'Eaters rattled off 16 consecutive goals.
Milos tied the game at 4-4 with 4:17 remaining in the second period and he put UCI ahead for good on a score with 3:10 left. He added two more goals before halftime as the 'Eaters led 7-4 at the break.
Mourer and Papa scored two goals apiece in the third quarter as UCI took a 13-4 lead into the final period.
UCI faces Pepperdine in a consolation semifinal Sunday at 10:40 a.m. at June Fergusson Pool at San Joaquin Delta College.
