'Eaters Compete in Mustang Challenge Saturday

IRVINE, Calif. --- The UC Irvine men's cross country team is back on the course Saturday in the Mustang Challenge at Central Park in Santa Clarita.

The men's 8,000-meter race is scheduled to begin at 8:45 a.m. in the meet hosted by the Master's College.

UCI has been idle from competition since Sept. 6, when the Anteaters placed second in the adidas/UCI Invitational.

Senior Alex Tebbe finished second of 108 runners in that meet and was named Big West Conference Athlete of the Week.

The Anteaters will compete in the 41st Stanford Invitational Sept. 27 at the Stanford Golf Course.
