U.S. Roster
CHICAGO, Ill. --- Anteater alum Brad Evans moved one step closer to a spot on the U.S. men's national team roster for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil this summer by making the preliminary 30-man roster to train in Palo Alto, Calif.
Evans and the rest of the roster will head the campus at Stanford University on May 14 to train where Head Coach Jurgen Klinsmann will wittle the roster down to the 23-man club that will be announced sometime before June 2nd.
Evans has been a part of the national team through the last couple years seeing action in five World Cup qualifiers and some Gold Cup action.
The U.S. team will play three friendlies in the states before heading to Brazil for its first World Cup match June 16th. The friendlies feature Azerbaijan, May 27 in San Francisco, Turkey, June 1 in New Jersey, and Nigeria, June 7 in Jacksonville.
