UC Irvine Heads South To Play In The Farms Invitational

San Diego State Farms Invitational
March 24-26, 2014
The Farms Golf Club – Rancho Santa Fe, Calif.
UCI will participate in the San Diego State Farms Invitational Monday-Wednesday (Mar. 24-26) at The Farms Golf Club.
Tee times begin between 8:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m. off the first and 10th tee on Monday and Tuesday. Tee times start at 7:30 a.m.-9:30 a.m.
The Farms plays at 6,245 yards and Par 72.
Participating teams include Stanford, Arizona State, Cal, Cal State Fullerton, Idaho, Miami, Oregon, Portland State, Texas, UCLA, UNLV, New Mexico, USC, Xavier and host Aztecs.
Sara Banke, Ronnie Valerio, Kaley In, Taryn Yee and Samantha Chan will be competing for UCI.
This is the first time UCI will be competing in this tournament.
The NCAA Men's West Regional was held at the Farms Golf Club in 2011.
IN THE CLUBHOUSE
Last week, UCI fell to Long Beach State, 374-367 in a Black & Blue Rivalry dual match at the Old Ranch Golf Club.
Senior Ronnie Valerio finished second after shooting a 70 and Taryn Yee was third at 72.
Valerio leads the Anteaters with a 76.25 scoring average, while Sara Banke follows with a 76.56 average.
