CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif. --- UC Irvine finished third in The Folino Invitational that concluded Tuesday at the Industry Hills "Ike" Course.

The 'Eaters had a 54-hole total of 886 as host Cal State Fullerton won the tournament at 863.  Sacramento State placed second with a total of 879.

UCI junior Pete Fernandez shot a 73 in the final round and finished fifth at 218.  Senior Allan Jun, with a 74 Tuesday, placed seventh (221), freshman Ryan O'Connor (76) was eighth at 222, sophomore Jacob Schulze (77) was 12th at 225 and senior Travis Russell (78) finished 34th at 233.

Mark Anguiano of Cal State Fullerton was medalist with a 12-under score of 204.

The 'Eaters compete in the Jones Invitational, hosted by Pepperdine, next Monday and Tuesday at Saticoy Country Club in Somis.
