CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif. --- The UC Irvine men's golf team is in second place following Monday's 36 holes in The Folino Invitational at the Industry Hills "Ike" Course.
UCI shot 586 for two rounds to trail Cal State Fullerton, which leads at 572. Sacramento State is in third at 588.
Four Anteater players are in the top 10 after Monday's action on the par-72 course.
Junior Pete Fernandez is in fifth at 145 (73-72), freshman Ryan O'Connor is sixth at 146 (73-73), senior Allan Jun is seventh at 147 (70-77) and sophomore Jacob Schulze is 10th at 148 (74-74). Senior Travis Russell shot 78-77 and is 25th at 155.
Mark Anguiano of Cal State Fullerton is the individual leader at 134 after shooting 66-68.
The final round is scheduled for Tuesday.
