In the lone game of the week, UCI will travel to Bakersfield Wednesday (Dec. 3) for a 7:00 p.m. contest at the Icardo Center.
Wednesday night's game caps a four-game road swing for the Anteaters.
Following the game with the Roadrunners, the Anteaters will remain idle for 10 days before hosting the University of San Diego on Dec. 14 at 4:00 p.m. at the Bren Events Center.
CSUB leads the series record 7-2 overall. The Anteaters won the last meeting, 66-52 in Bakersfield on Dec. 28, 2012, snapping a string of seven consecutive losses to the Roadrunners.
UCI senior Methlyn Onogomuho recorded 12 points and a then-career-best 11 rebounds in the last win against the Roadrunners.
Bakersfield is 4-1 overall, beating Fresno State and Fresno Pacific last week.
Three Roadrunners average double-figure scoring led by Tyonna Outland with an 18.4 mark. Dajy Vines (15.0) and Brooklynn Hinkens (14.6) follow.
Hinkens drained six three-pointers in CSUB's win over FSU on Sunday.
Vines was named Western Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for Nov. 24 through Nov. 30 after scoring a career-high 27 points to lead Bakersfield past Fresno Pacific. She also added 18 points in a 20-point win over Fresno State.
UCI enters the game on a five-game losing streak after dropping three games last week.
The Anteaters started the week with a 96-52 loss at South Dakota then dropped a pair to Bowling Green (62-54) and UAB (69-65) in overtime at the DoubleTree Los Angeles Westside Thanksgiving Classic.
Onogomuho was named to the all-tournament team after tying her career-high with 20 points and 13 rebounds versus UAB. She also had a team-high eight rebounds against Bowling Green.
Forward Shereen Sutherland had her best weekend in an Anteater uniform averaging 7.0 points and 6.5 rebounds at the LMU Tournament.
Junior transfer Olivia Montgomery made her UCI debut recording eight points in nine minutes of action against BGSU.
After recording eight three-pointers in the first five games, UCI drained seven treys over two games last weekend.
The Anteaters swatted a season-high seven blocks against UAB, including a career-high five by Mokun Fajemisin.
Fajemisin leads the team with a 10.6 scoring average. She ranks among Big West players in points and 14th in rebounding (6.3).
Onogomuho leads the team and is ranked seventh in the Big West in rebounding at 7.0 per game. She also ranks eighth in steals (1.57).
UCI is second in the Big West in defensive rebounds with a 28.29 average.
Raelyn Cheung-Sutton ranks eighth in the conference in assists (3.57) and assist/turnover ratio (1.14).
