UCI HOSTS LANCERS, GAUCHOS
● UC Irvine closes out its 2014 home schedule this week, hosting California Baptist in a non-conference game Wednesday night and UC Santa Barbara in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation contest Saturday afternoon.
● Prior to Saturday's game, UCI seniors Michael Bailey, Kyle Kittlitz, Bobby McDonald, Jacob Mourer, Justin Papa and Alan Robertson will be recognized.
● These are the first meetings of the season for UCI against either opponent this week.
● Following these games, UCI competes in the MPSF Tournament Nov. 21-23 at Long Beach State.
UC IRVINE TEAM NOTES
● Sophomore Lovre Milos leads UCI and the MPSF with 84 goals and a scoring average of 3.5 per game. He has scored at least five goals in nine games this season.
● Freshman Matt Skinner has scored 37 goals and senior Jacob Mourer 33 for the 'Eaters this year.
● Other double-digit scorers for UCI are sophomore Kyle Trush (29), junior Jared Osborn (23), senior Alan Robertson (22), junior Larson Pfeil (19), freshman Ryan Warde (18), senior Justin Papa with 133 and junior Pablo Carballo with 11.
● Junior goalie Dylan Peterson ranks first in the MPSF with an average of 12.03 saves per game and freshman Byron Rivers is second in the league with an average of 11.95 stops per contest.
● Admission is free to UCI men's water polo home games this season.
