'EATERS TRAVEL TO LONG BEACH STATE, HOST CAL
● Tenth-ranked UC Irvine faces two Mountain Pacific Sports Federation opponents this weekend, traveling to No. 5 Long Beach State Saturday and hosting fourth-ranked California Sunday. Both games are at 12:00 p.m.
● These will be the first meetings of the season for UCI versus Long Beach State and Cal.
● Beginning with the Cal game Sunday, UCI plays four of its final six regular-season games at home.
● Admission is free to UCI men's water polo home games this season.
● The 'Eaters are coming off a 17-10 win over then-No. 7 Pacific last Saturday.
● Following this weekend's action, UCI travels to Pepperdine Nov. 1 for an MPSF game at 12:00 p.m. against the Waves.
UC IRVINE TEAM NOTES
● Sophomore Lovre Milos leads UCI and the MPSF with 75 goals and a scoring average of 3.95 per game. He has scored at least five goals in nine games this season, including five in last Saturday's victory over Pacific.
● Freshman Matt Skinner has scored 32 goals and he is 18th in the MPSF with a scoring average of 1.68.
● Senior Jacob Mourer has 30 goals for the 'Eaters this year and he ranks 19th in the MPSF at 1.58 goals per game.
● Other double-digit scorers for UCI are sophomore Kyle Trush (21), senior Alan Robertson (19), junior Jared Osborn (17), freshman Ryan Warde (15), junior Larson Pfeil (14), senior Justin Papa with 11 and junior Pablo Carballo with 10.
● Junior goalie Dylan Peterson ranks first in the MPSF with an average of 12.19 saves per game and freshman Byron Rivers is second in the league with an average of 12.12 stops per contest.
