• The Anteaters earned their first two Big West wins last week, knocking off UC Santa Barbara and Cal Poly.
• With a 2-3 record, UCI moved into a tie for sixth in the Big West.
• The team registered a season-best 86 digs in the win against the Gauchos, edging the previous high of 83 against LBSU earlier this year.
• UCI is ranked 20th in the country in kill average at 14.15 and is the highest-ranked Big West school in the category. 
• The Anteaters are also 23rd in the country in assists per set and 3tth in total assists.

• Allison Lee  was voted the Big West Defensive Player of the
  Week after a career-high 24 digs in the win against the Gauchos.
• Lee, who averaged 4.88 digs per set in the two matches, also put away 13 kills to go along with an ace and two block assists.
• She followed with a 15-dig effort in the win against Cal Poly and tied a career-high with three aces while totaling two more block assists.
• Lee is now 10th in the Big West with a .3.32 dig average, is ninth in kills (3.15) and ninth in points (3.82).

PICKRELL IS TOP 10 NATIONALLY IN ACES

• Cassidy Pickrell has bested the opposition with 33 aces and is ranked No. 10 in the country.
• Pickrell totaled three in two matches last weekend and is averaging .46 per set to rank 22nd in average. 
• The outside hitter also totaled a combined 28 kills and posted a double-double with 13 kills and 15 digs in the win against the Gauchos.

• Arielle Manz blasted a personal-best .667 hitting percentage against Cal Poly and vaulted into the Big West's Top 10 in hitting at No. 7 with a .312 clip.
• Manz had 11 kills in the sweep and committed a lone error in 15 swings against the Mustangs. 
• The middle blocker also had 12 kills against the Gauchos and hit .400 to finish the weekend with a .500 hitting percentage.
• Manz also posted four block assists to tie Aly Squires for the No. 11 spot in the UCI career annals with 215 block assists.

• The weekend was filled with  top marks as Shelley Anderson bested her previous high of 59 assists with 60 against UCSB.
• The sophomore added 10 digs for her fifth double-double match of the year.
• Anderson dished out 38 assist and picked up eight digs the next night and in the two contests, matched Manz with a combined four block assists.
• Anderson is ranked nationally at No. 28 with an 11.05 assist average and is 67th with 718 total assists.

• Ella Rosenfeld put away 10 of 20 attempts Friday to tie a season-high with 10 kills.
• Rosenfeld logged just two errors to hit .400 for the match to go along with three block assists.
• She hit .364 the next night, totaling just one error in 11 attempts and knocked down five kills while totaling three blocks.

CAREER-BEST BLOCKS FOR BUBICA

• Marisa Bubica was solid at the net, posting a personal-high three solo blocks against the Gauchos.
• She also added one block assist and blasted 19 kills in the win.
• Bubica remains first in the conference in kills with a 4.08 average and is second in points at 4.30. She can also be found ranked in hitting percentage at No. 9 (.300).

DAVIS EYEING TOP SPOT IN BIG WEST

• Arden Davis climbed up one spot to second in the Big West after averaging 4.50 digs in two matches last week.
• The sophomore had 20 digs against the Gauchos and 16 against Cal Poly while firing two aces against both teams.
• Davis has amassed 317 digs on the year and is 70th in the country in total digs.

ABOUT THE HIGHLANDERS

• UC Riverside is 2-14 overall and 0-4 in the Big West.
• The Highlanders have won just one set in league play and are led by Ashley Cox, who has 128 kills and a 2.98 average.
• UCI holds a 28-12 series lead against the Highlanders and has lost just twice to UCR since 2006.

ABOUT THE AGGIES

• UC Davis is 3-1 in the Big West (8-9 overall) and tied for second in the Big West standings with CSUN.
• Kaylin Squyres is third in the conference in kills at 3.69 and has totaled 229.
• The Aggies are second in the Big West in ace average at 1.52 and the third-best program in blocking average at 2.52.
• Katie Quinn is totaling 1.29 blocks per set to lead the team.
• UCI is 13-7 against UC Davis but the Aggies have won six of the last eight matches.
