SEATTLE, Wash. --- Megan Benson led the UC Irvine women's indoor track and field team in the first day of the UW Invitational at Dempsey Indoor in Seattle Friday.
Benson placed 19th of 41 competitors overall in the 200 meters with a time of 26.07.
Kaulyn Lee-McNeill finished 25th overall in 26.57, Charity Lyons was 30th in 26.73, Lily Trinh 33rd in 27.03 and Saniya Syed 36th in 27.13.
The second and final day of competition is Saturday with the competition beginning at 8:55 a.m.
