Repeat Performance for Riley Martin

IRVINE, Calif. --- UC Irvine sophomore Riley Martin has been named Big West Athlete of the Week in men's cross country for the second time in as many meets this season.
Martin finished second in the Mustang Challenge Division I Invite last Saturday. He covered the 8,000-meter course at Central Park in Santa Clarita with a time of 24:56.20 to help the 'Eaters to a third-place team finish.
Martin also won the Big West award following the season-opening adidas/UCI Invitational when he placed second of 102 runners.
UCI is back in action Oct. 4 in the NCAA Preview meet at Haggin Oaks Golf Club in Sacramento.
