OFF THE TEE
UCI will compete in the Rose City Collegiate Sept. 30-Oct. 1.
The tournament will be played at the Langdon Farms Golf Club in Aurora, Ore. The course plays at a Par 72 and 6,080 yards.
The Anteaters will play 36 holes Monday beginning with an 8:00 a.m. shotgun start then 18 holes Tuesday beginning at 8 a.m. off holes 1 or 10.
The tournament field includes Oregon State, Boise State, Eastern Washington, Northern Colorado, Cal State Fullerton, Weber State, Sacramento State, Montana, San Francisco, Cal Poly, Gonzaga, Washington State, Seattle and host Portland State. Six individuals will also compete.
This is the first time the Anteaters have played at this event.
Langdon Farms plays across land that was a working farm throughout most of the 1900's that produced flax, wheat, alfalfa, and potatoes. The original barn, which is "in play" on the golf course was built in 1908, and contributes to the difficulty of the par-4 eigth hole.
Portland State's A Ram Choi was an individual at the 2013 NCAA West Regional, playing all three rounds with UCI's Luciane Lee.
