REDLANDS, Calif. --- Senior Bojan Hrlec scored a career-high seven goals to help lead UC Irvine to a 25-7 victory over Pomona-Pitzer at the Inland Empire Classic in Redlands Sunday.
With the win, the ninth-ranked 'Eaters capped their second straight undefeated weekend in improving to 8-0 on the season.
Mitch Wise and Kyle Trush added four goals each for UCI. Alan Robertson, Larson Pfeil, Kyle Kittlitz and Pablo Carballo scored two apiece.
UCI led 7-3 after the first quarter and outscored the Sagehens, 18-4, over the last three periods.
Earlier Sunday, the 'Eaters defeated Occidental, 20-4.
UCI travels to Chapman Wednesday for a non-conference game at 4:00 p.m. before competing in the NorCal Tournament at Berkeley Saturday and Sunday (Sept. 21-22).
