
Globetrotting This Summer With Men's Volleyball

Irvine, Calif. -- Several current and former UC Irvine men's volleyball players will be spanning the globe this summer representing the United States.
Outside hitter Kyle Russell is a member of the U.S. Men's Junior National Volleyball Team (MJNT) that will represent the United States at the FIVB Volleyball Men's U21 World Championship and the U21 Pan American Cup.
Russell and the MJNT will compete in the U21 Pan American Cup July 12-20 in Costa Rica then compete at the FIVB Volleyball Men's U21 World Championship held in Ankara and Izmir, Turkey from Aug. 22-Sept. 1.
2013 NCAA Championship Most Valuable Player Connor Hughes will team with Jeff Carlson on the beach at the World University Games July 8-13 in Kazan, Russia. Joining Hughes at the WUGs, is 2012 graduate Will Montgomery with partner Tri Bourne. Montgomery will also pair with Avery Drost at the FIVB Anapa Open on July 23-28 in Russia.
Former All-Americans Jayson Jablonsky, David Smith and Carson Clark will compete for the U.S. National team when they battle Bulgaria in FIVB World League matches on June 28-29 at the Reno Events Center in Reno, Nev.
