AUSTIN, Texas --- UC Irvine sophomore Itos Aikhionbare did not advance in the discus throw at the NCAA West Preliminary Round in Austin, Texas, Friday.

Her best mark was 150-9 (45.96 meters), which placed 40th overall.

Friday's action was delayed over four hours due to weather in the Austin area.

On Saturday, junior Lacey Surak competes in the javelin throw at 10:00 a.m. (PT) while Aikhionbare is in the shot put at 4:00 p.m.
