IRVINE, Calif. --- The UC Irvine men's golf team hosts the 33rd annual Anteater Invitational Monday and Tuesday (Mar. 25-26) at El Niguel Country Club in Laguna Niguel.
Thirty-six holes are scheduled for Monday and the final 18 on Tuesday at the par-72 layout that measures 7,060 yards.
Joining the host 'Eaters in the field are Cal State Fullerton, Long Beach State, Cal State Northridge, Loyola Marymount, UC Santa Barbara, Sacramento State, Santa Clara, Colorado, Brown, St. John's and UCLA with four players competing individually.
Coach Paul Smolinski's UCI lineup is scheduled to be juniors Allan Jun and Travis Russell, sophomore Pete Fernandez, senior Michael Yang and freshman Jacob Schulze.
Competing as individuals will be senior Mickey Chan, sophomore Bhuvan Potluri and junior Zack Duan.
Jun leads UCI with a 73.17 average and three top-10 finishes, Fernandez is averaging 73.75 and also has three top-10s, while Russell has a 73.83 average with a pair of top-10 showings.
