
UC Irvine Climbs To The Top Of The Leaderboard In New Mexico

Las Cruces, NM – UC Irvine had four players in the top 16 to catipulte the Anteaters to first place following the first round of the Price's Give 'em Five" Intercollegiate at the New Mexico State Golf Course.
UCI is on the top of the leaderboard after shooting a season-low 290 on the first round. The Anteaters are one shot ahead of Portland State (291) who is followed by Nevada and Cal State Fullerton (293). Cincinnati rounds out the top five with a score of 297.
Senior Sara Banke shot a career-best two-under par 70 and is tied for third individually. Junior Michelle Yang and senior Ronnie Valerio are tied for 11th after carding a 73, while sophomore Luciane Lee is tied for 16th at 74 and freshman Kaley In is tied for 64 with a score of 81.
The tournament continues with 18 hole on Tuesday and Wednesday beginning at 7:30 p.m. PST.
