UC Irvine Opens MPSF Play at USC Saturday

MPSF OPENER
● Ninth-ranked UC Irvine travels to No. 2 USC Saturday for both teams' Mountain Pacific Sports Federation opener at 1:00 p.m.
● Coach Marc Hunt's 'Eaters, 10-2 overall, have been idle from competition since the NorCal Tournament Sept. 21-22.
STATS LEADERS
● Senior driver Mitch Wise, a two-time All-American, leads UCI with 45 goals this season. Wise, who has 207 goals in his Anteater career, ranks second in the MPSF with a scoring average of 3.75 goals per game this season.
● Senior Bojan Hrlec, an honorable mention All-American last season, has 21 goals on the year.
● Sophomore Tyler Mancuso, ranks third on the team with 18 goals this season.
● Sophomore Jared Osborn and freshman Kyle Trush have each scored 15 goals.
● Junior Alan Robertson and sophomore Larson Pfeil also have double-digit goal totals with 11 apiece this year.
● Senior goalkeeper Alex Kazmier has 59 saves and ranks second in the MPSF with an average of 12.42 saves per game.
● Junior goalie Michael Bailey has 62 stops and he is third in the MPSF at 11.27 saves per contest.
UCI INVITATIONAL OCT. 12-13 (Tournament Schedule)
● The UC Irvine Invitational is set for Oct. 12-13 at the Anteater Aquatics Complex and Corona del Mar High School. The 'Eaters will open against Pepperdine at 9:25 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, at UCI.
