Valerio, In Pace UC Irvine On First Round Of Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown

Las Vegas, Nevada -- UC Irvine shot a 296 on the first round of the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown Sunday and is tied for seventh place.
The Anteaters fired an eight over-par 296 on the Stallion Mountain Golf Couse and are tied with Nevada and Missouri for the seventh spot. Host UNLV leads the tournament with a score of 288.
Senior Ronnie Valerio and freshman Kaley In each shot an even par 72 and are tied for ninth place. Sophomore Luciane Lee, junior Michelle Yang and senior Sara Banke all carded a 76 and are tied for 52nd.
The tournament continues with 18 holes Monday and 18 holes Tuesday.
