OFF THE TEE
UCI will close out the Fall schedule participating in the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown at the Stallion Mountain Golf Club.
The 17-team field will play 54-holes on the 6,230 yard, Par 72 course.
Teams will play 18 holes each day with a 7:30 a.m. shotgun start on Sunday and Monday and a 7:45 a.m. start on Tuesday.
The tournament field consists of Denver, Fresno State, Furman, Idaho, Kansas State, Long Beach State, Minnesota, Missouri, New Mexico, Nebraska, Nevada, San Diego State, Texas Tech, Central Florida, Wisconsin and the host Rebels.
The Anteaters last played in this tournament in 2011, finishing fifth.
The club has served as the host venue for Golf Channel's Big Break II and also past of the Frank Sinatra Celebrity Classic and the PGA Tour's Las Vegas event.
IN THE CLUBHOUSE
For the second consecutive tournament, UCI finished second at the Price's "Give 'Em Five Intercollegiate" held at the New Mexico State Golf Course.
The Anteaters shot a 54-hole total of 872 (290-287-295).
Sophomore Luciane Lee (74-69-75) and senior Sara Banke (70-72-76) tied for eighth with a score of 218. Lee's second round of 69 is tied for 12th in the UCI record books for lowest single round
Junior Michelle Yang was tied for 12th at 221 (73-73-75), senior Ronnie Valerio was tied for 17th with a three-round score of 222 (73-77-72) and freshman Kaley In was tied for 37th at 227 (81-73-73).
After the first three tournament of the year, Luciane Lee leads the squad with a 74.75 average.
