Adam Folker Named ESPN Zone Anaheim Anteater of the Week

FOLKER NAMED ESPN ZONE ANAHEIM ANTEATER OF THE WEEK
Irvine, Calif. -- UC Irvine men's basketball player Adam Folker has been named this week's ESPN Zone Anaheim Anteater of the Week.
The senior center from Markham, Ontario was a part of an effort that helped UC Irvine defeat Cal State Northridge, 79-69, in the Anteaters' Homecoming game at the Bren Center on Saturday. Folker along with teammate Daman Starring tied for a team high 14 points apiece in the victory. In the game Folker hit 6 of 11 field goals, was perfect from the line in two attempts, while also collecting five rebounds. In conference play Folker is currently 4th in rebounding with 8.0 per game, and is 3rd in offensive rebounds with 3.4 per game. Overall in conference play he is 3rd in field goal percentage (.569).
UCI heads out on the road for three straight games Thursday night at 8:00 at Cal State Fullerton before traveling to UC Riverside next Saturday for a Big West game at 7:00 p.m.
