NORWALK, Calif. --- UC Irvine senior Amber Middleton flirted with the school record once again in the 100-meter hurdles at the Beach Invitational Saturday.
Middleton won her section and had the third overall fastest time of the day in 13.76 as she sets her sights on the school record of 13.67 set by Golde Ibia in 2009.
Lacey Surak won her flight of the javelin throw in the meet at Cerritos College with a mark of 128-11, which ties her for the ninth-best mark in UCI history.
Jessica Imani finished first in her flight of the discus throw at 124-4 and Jennica Smith was second in her flight of the triple jump with a mark of 36-3 ½.
Martina Mickos placed second in her section of the 200 meters in 24.96, the fastest UCI time of the season.
The Anteaters had some solid times in the 800 meters, led by Sakia Sailinuu (2:13.56) and Camille Maron (2:15.67).
Samia Sailinuu (4:39.64) and Kaycee Holcomb (4:42.05) led UCI in the 1500 meters.
UCI hosts the adidas/Steve Scott Invitational Saturday and Sunday at Anteater Stadium.
