UC Irvine Ends Season at UCLA Sunday Morning

STORYLINE
● UC Irvine (14-11, 0-7 MPSF) ends its season Sunday morning with a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation game at No. 2 UCLA on the Pac-12 Networks at 10:30. The Anteaters will not advance to the MPSF Tournament this season. UCLA (24-2, 6-0) plays at USC Saturday prior to facing UCI on Sunday.
UC IRVINE NOTES
● UCI, after playing its first three games of the season at home, played its next 15 on the road. The Anteaters went six weeks between home contests. UCI has played just seven of its 25 games at home this season.
● Junior Bojan Hrlec, a transfer from West Valley College, leads UCI with 63 goals and he ranks fourth in the MPSF with an average of 2.74 goals per game.
● Junior Mitch Wise, who has scored 60 goals on the season, ranks seventh in the MPSF at 2.50 goals per game. He tied his career high with six goals in a 14-12 loss to Pacific Nov. 2 and had five goals each in the first three games of the season.
● Senior Nick Pfeil has scored 32 goals this season with a high of four in the Sept. 1 win over Redlands. He ranks 23rd in the MPSF at 1.28 goals per game.
● Sophomore Jacob Mourer also has scored 32 goals, with a high of four in the season-opening victory over Chapman Sept. 1. He is tied with Nick Pfeil for 23rd in the MPSF at 1.28 goals per contest.
● Sophomore Alan Robertson has a pair of hat tricks this season and has scored 23 goals.
● Senior Winston Newland has scored 22 goals this year, including hat tricks in wins over Pacific and Occidental.
● Redshirt freshman Chris Swieca has scored 18 goals this season with a high of three in the win over Cal Lutheran at the Gary Troyer Tournament.
● Sophomore Blake Terry has scored nine goals on the season, including three against Pacific Nov. 2.
● Junior goalie Alex Kazmier has 160 saves this season with a high of 17 in the Sept. 16 overtime win over UC Santa Barbara in the fifth-place game of the NorCal Tournament. He ranks seventh in the MPSF with an average of 9.92 saves per game.
● Redshirt sophomore goalie Dylan Peterson has recorded 48 saves this season.
● Sophomore Michael Bailey has 41 saves in 11 appearances this season.
● UCI and UCLA met once earlier this season, with the Bruins winning 14-8 in the third-place game of the SoCal Tournament at Santa Barbara. Bojan Hrlec led the Anteaters with four goals in that loss.
