Camille Maron Named Big West Athlete of Week

IRVINE, Calif. --- UC Irvine's Camille Maron (San Bruno/Notre Dame Belmont HS) has been named the Big West Conference Athlete of the Week in women's cross country.
Maron, a sophomore eligibility-wise, was the top Big West finisher at last Friday's Titan Invitational, placing 13th of 126 runners with a time of 18:24.3 over the 5,000-meter course at Cal State Fullerton.
Her finish helped UCI to a third-place result in the 11-team field.
UCI competes at the Big West Championship Saturday on the UC Riverside Agricultural/Operations Course. The women's 6,000-meter race begins at 8:45 a.m.
