LPGA Qualifying School Stage II Results
VENICE, Fla. --- UC Irvine alumna Selanée Henderson placed 32nd in Stage II of LPGA Qualifying School to gain a spot in Stage III with a chance to earn LPGA status for next season.
Henderson had a four-round total of 291 (68-72-74-77) in Stage II play that concluded Friday at Plantation Golf & Country Club in Venice, Fla.
The top 70 and ties earned berths in the Stage III LPGA Q School, which will be conducted Nov. 28-Dec. 2 at LPGA International in Daytona Beach, Fla. A yet-to-be determined number of top finishers from that stage will gain LPGA membership for 2013.
Henderson was runner-up in the Golf Channel's "Big Break Atlantis" earlier this year.
She competed for the Anteaters from 2004-2008, helping UCI to a Big West Conference Championship title all four years. Henderson was named Big West Golfer of the Year in 2006 and is tied for the most tournament wins in school history with six. The four-time All-Big West first team honoree placed 27th at the 2005 NCAA Championship.
Lalita Patipaksiri, a 2012 UCI graduate, finished 110th at 300 (77-73-76-74) in the Stage II qualifying. She won the Long Beach Women's City Championship in June and was a first team All-Big West player for the Anteaters this past season.
