UCR Agricultural Operations Course – Riverside, Calif.
Women's 4,000 Meters – 8:30 a.m.
QUICK STRIDES
● UC Irvine is back in action Saturday at the Highlander Invitational on the UC Riverside Agricultural Operations Course. Teams scheduled to compete are UCI, UCR, USC and Wyoming.
● Saturday's race length is 4,000 meters beginning at 8:30 a.m.
● There is no charge for admission at the Highlander Invitational, and parking is free at the Ag/Ops Course.
● To reach the Ag/Ops Course from the 215/60 freeway, exit Martin Luther King and go West. Turn left at the Canyon Crest traffic light and travel approximately 300 meters to the course entrance.
● The UCR Ag/Ops Course is also the site of the Big West Conference Championship Oct. 27 for the fifth straight year.
● Emma Archuleta led UCI at the UCSD Triton Classic last Saturday, finishing 42nd of 238 runners with a time of 23:57.9 over 6,000 meters.
● At the Stanford Invitational Sept. 29, Colleen Lillig paced the Anteaters with a 39th-place finish (of 292 runners), covering the 6,000-meter course in 21:57.
● Also on Sept. 29, at the Pomona-Pitzer Invitational, Camille Maron placed 20th of 137 runners with a time of 23:30.0 over 6,000 meters.
ON THE HORIZON
● UCI competes at the Titan Invitational on the Cal State Fullerton campus Oct. 19 with the 5,000-meter race beginning at 4:45 p.m.
● The Big West Conference Championship is Oct. 27 at the UCR Ag/Ops Course with the women's 6,000 meters starting at 8:45 a.m.
